UKE, Nokia demonstrated 5G at BEREC plenary meeting in Sopot

The 5G tests were conducted in Sopot on 14 June, using the frequency band 28 GHz and a channel of 100 MHz. During the tests, the data transfer speed of 375 Mbps with latency of 4-10 milliseconds was reached. For the 5G testing, the robot Scorpio – a mobile Mars rover, designed by students of the Wroclaw University of Technology, was used.

Beside the 5G test, additional projects were presented by the students of several Polish universities (Wroclaw University of Technology, Gdansk University of Technology and Gdansk University): Unmanned System of Air Transport of Blood, LEM Falcon - electric motorbike, Erly - a powerbank rental system, Hera - an intelligent monitoring system for newborns, netBaltic - a multi-system broadband network at sea, and Solutions 4 Tomorrow - module for autonomous charging of drones.
